Weather: Mostly still and calm but windy and very cold on the top along with mist.

We got an early start from Crianlarich Youth Hostel and drove to Inveruglas where we parked the car. From there we headed up the tarmac track towards the dam.

About 500m before the dam we headed directly up the steep hillside (we had been looking for a path, but had not found one – turns out we had missed it by 200m or so).

There was a 500m climb over steep ground (a section of forest that had been felled) through a deer fence and on to the ridge where we found a pretty well defined path.
We followed this path (for what seemed like ages – visibility was very poor at this stage) all the way to the summit.

After a short lunch break, we retraced our steps to the well defined path and followed this all the way to the tarmaced path leading to the dam (it was easy to see why we had missed it, very concealed).

A pretty strenuous day all in all.
